Study on Vertical Piles Batter Piles and Pile Groups Under Uplift Load Conditions in Non-Cohesive Sub-soil

Abstract Model study was carried out in the laboratory to know effect of uplift loads on vertical piles, batter piles and pile groups. Mild steel having 22 mm outer diameter 1 thickness were considered for study. Different slenderness ratios 18, 28, 38 various angles such as 0°, 15°, 25°, 35°, 45° Sand poured at a fixed relative density mild tank. The experimental shows that group attain maximum value load capacity when angle reaches 35°. Further, increase causes reduction pile. It is also noticed from experiment increases with ratio but its variation not linear. Pile four two L/D 28 offers same resistance all 38. Numerical modeling performed using Plaxis-3D analyse behavior groups under loads. A good correlation between results observed.
